Margie Boyd

Margie Boyd, 83, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 2:45 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 18, at the LaPorte Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis at noon on Saturday, with visitation at the cemetery on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of interment.

Margie was born January 10, 1922, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Eugene E. & Claribel (Morrison) Sullivan. On October 26, 1946, in Indianapolis, she married Kenneth E. Boyd, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are daughters Nancy R. (Allen) Brinklow of LaPorte and Terry E. Hart of Indianapolis; and grandchildren David A. Cota, Edwin A. Brinklow, Andrew T. (Kelly) Hart, Stephani J. (Marlin) Hart-Sechrist and Matthew J. Hart.

Her sister Opal C. Brewer preceded her in death.

Margie was a retired bookkeeper and office manager for Atlas Office Supply in Indianapolis.

She was a 1938 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. She was a member of the LaPorte Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and Circle leader. She was a member of the LaPorte Hospital Auxiliary and the LaPorte Co. Choraliers. She also volunteered for Meals-on–Wheels. Her special mission was to send cards and notes to those with special needs.
