Marie A Funk (Drazer), passed away Sunday afternoon, December 20, 2009 at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She was born March 9, 1933 in Westville, IN to Earl and Elizabeth (Smith) Reed, both who have preceded her in death. Marie married Milton A. Funk March 3, 1962 in La Porte, who also preceded her in death in February 3, 1981. Marie married Jerome Drazer of Kouts, IN, where he currently resides.
Marie is survived by her brother James Reed of TN, her sons William M. Funk of Sahuarita, AZ and Norman E. Funk of Indianapolis, IN, her grandchildren Jeremy and Mackenzie Funk, both of Indianapolis, IN, and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, her sisters: Charlotte Gesse (Reed) of La Porte, IN, Betty Kotel (Reed) of North Liberty, IN and Florence Elish (Reed) of Hammond, IN and her brothers: Edward Reed of Westville, IN, John Reed of Michigan City, IN and Robert Reed of La Porte, IN.
A visitation for Marie A. Funk (Drazer) will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, December 28 at Cutler Funeral Home, 2900 Monroe Street, La Porte. A funeral service for Marie will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 29 with Dr. Joseph Loftis at Cutler Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Pine Lake Cemetery in La Porte, IN. Flowers may be sent to Cutler Funeral Home.
