Marie M. Hudgins, 91 years old of Kingsbury, IN, died at 10:15 P.M. Sunday, October 10, 2010 at her home.
She was born June 13, 1919 in LaPorte, IN, daughter of Clarence and Esther (Hough) Lower.
On Oct. 3, 1937 in Kewanna, IN, she married John E. Hudgins.
She had worked and was part owner of Mary's Restaurant in LaPorte for 15 years. She was Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Kingsbury in the late 90's. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kingsbury. She was a wonderful Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She loved to cook for her family and was a marvelous cook. We all will miss her very much.
Surviving are her husband, John of Kingsbury, IN; son, John E. Hudgins, Jr. of Kingsbury, IN; daughter, Diane K. Jones of LaPorte, IN; two grandchildren, Julie (Keith) Allesee of LaPorte, and William (Lea Anne) Jones of Rolling Prairie; six great grandchildren, Alex and Neil Allesee, Jacob and Aleah Bates, Benjamin and Allison Jones; sister, Florence (Harold) Mangus of DelRay Beach, Fl; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Lower, and Esther Lower Dick; step father, Frederick Dick; brother, Clarence (Bud) Lower.
Friends will be received at the at the Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Kingsbury with Pastor Tim Williams officiating.
Friends will be received at the church on Wed. from 9- 11 A.M. Interment will follow in the Kingsbury Cemetery. Cutler Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
