Marilyn Joyce Lindeman

Marilyn Joyce Lindeman, 88, of Manistee, MI, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Brickyard Health-La Porte Care Center.

Marilyn was born on August 24, 1936, in Manistee, MI, to Arthur and Anna (Petersen) Nelsen.

On July 16, 1955, in Manistee, MI, she married Richard who preceded her in death. Surviving Marilyn are her 3 children, Laurie (Randy) Lindeman-Shook of Argyle, TX, Paul (Karen) Lindeman of La Porte, and Jill Lindeman of Osceola; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Lindeman of Indianapolis, Andrew (Emma) Lindeman of La Porte, and Jessica Shook of Argyle, TX; and great-granddaughter, Raya Lindeman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Marilyn was an elementary teacher for over 30 years in Manistee, MI. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Marilyn enjoyed painting, camping, sewing, knitting, reading, and riding on the back of the Harley.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service and burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Manistee, MI, will take place at a later date.
