Marilyn Elaine Mowrey, 67 years old of LaPorte, IN, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 at her home.
She was born May 12, 1945 in Columbia City, IN. daughter of the late Porter and Genevive (Kreger) Rhodes.
Marilyn grew up in Rochester, IN. Living in LaPorte the last 15 years, she worked as the office manager for Mitch Feikes Builders. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and she enjoyed crafts and quilting.
Surviving are her three children; Robin (Larry) Armstrong of Walkerton, Brenda King of LaPorte, Timothy (Carrie) Mowrey of Idaho; her siblings, Peggy Boyce, Gary Rhodes of Rochester, IN; six grandchildren, Brian Bolze of Walkerton, Ryan & Samantha King of LaPorte, Daniel James & William Mowrey of Idaho; three step grandchildren, Sandy Smith, Jennifer Armstrong, Larry M. Armstrong; 6 great grandchildren; and 6 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kelly Mowrey; and granddaughter, Shannon Bolze.
A time of visitation will be held from 11AM to 1 PM on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, IN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
Interment will follow in the Lambs Chapel Cemetery in LaPorte.
