Marilyn J. Lawrence Walt, 78, of La Porte, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Catherine Kasper House in Donaldson, IN.
Marilyn was born in Kouts, IN on November 7, 1938 to Lee and Iva Pearl (Reinhart) Sutter.
Surviving are her beloved children, Denise (Dennis) Duschek of Walkerton and Julie (Randy) Williams of Plymouth; grandchildren, Nathan (Ashley) Duschek of La Porte and Aaron (Danelle Lamprecht) Duschek of La Porte; great-grandchildren, Devon, Ava, Alexa, Henry, and Ryder Duschek; brother-in-law, Gerald (Maxine) Lawrence of La Porte; sisters-in-law, Joanne Sutter of Goshen, Vicky Sutter of Florida, Donna Lawrence of La Porte, and Marla Thombleson of Indianapolis; special friend and cousin, Norma Finney of Valparaiso; many other loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husbands, Wally Lawrence and Michael Walt, Sr.; brothers, Willard, Erlis, Forrest, Ivan, and Leslie Sutter; and brother-in-law, Richard Lawrence.
Marilyn loved red roses, going antiquing, and watching HGTV. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, including her dog, Mollie, and cat, Kitty.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 5 PM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Agape Christian Church. A time of visitation will be held from 3 pm until the time of service on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the church.
