Marion Ruth Campbell Stark, 86, LaPorte, died at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 31, 2004) at Fountainview Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LaPorte.
Cremation has occurred, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. There is no visitation. Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Stark was born March 31, 1917, in Michigan City to William H. and Clara (Pflughaupt) Campbell. On Jan. 19, 1935, she married LeRoy F. Stark, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Robert L. Stark, Michigan City, Roger J. (Jerraly) Stark Sr., Rolling Prairie, and William E. (Morene) Stark, Michigan City; two sisters, Jean Schalton and Joan (Lew) Timberlake, both of Trail Creek; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Ahrendt; two brothers, Robert Edward and William Henry Campbell; and a grandson, Michael J. Dietrich.
Mrs. Stark was a member of First Christian Church, Michigan City, and was a Sunday school teacher and an active member in the church's S.A.M. Club. She also was a member of the Prime Timers of the Presbyterian Church.
