Marlene Dixie (Wiltfong) Colston

Marlene Dixie Colston, 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Metacare Assisted Living Home in Metamora, MI.

Marlene was born on October 10, 1935 in Mill Creek, IN, to Clifford M. and Laura Etta (Snyder) Wiltfong.

On July 1, 1955 in La Porte, IN, she married Herbert A. Colston, who preceded her in death on January 21, 2011.  Surviving Marlene are her 3 daughters, Lauretta A. (James) Hambey of Metamora, MI, Linda K. (Chris) Williamson of Walkerton, and Kathryn Stamper of Knox; son, Dr. Herbert L. (Brigette) Colston of Edmonton, Canada; 7 grandchildren, James P. Hambey, Zak Williamson, Jessica Wright, Anna Williamson-Tyra, Rachelle Hartley, Justin Stamper, and Morgan Colston; 4 great-grandchildren, Cameron Williamson, Maxwell Hambey, Madison Tyra, and Wesley Wright; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; parents, Clifford and Laura; and all her siblings.

Marlene was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and canning.  She was very fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Marlene's greatest joy was loving them. Most importantly, Marlene loved Jesus and strived to honor and obey Him her entire life.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Josh Carney officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date.

A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
