Mary Ellen Ault, 88 years old of LaPorte, IN, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at her home in LaPorte.
She was born April 14, 1923 in LaPorte, Indiana, Daughter of the late John O. and Fern J. (Craft) Ault.
She attended Purdue University and received her Masters from Michigan State University. She worked as a teacher for a few years. She then became the Food Service Supervisor for the Portage School System, retiring in 1988. She was a member of First Baptist Church in LaPorte and a long time member of Farm Bureau and Audubon Society. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cross stitching and baking.
Surviving are her nephews: David (Cati) Ault of LaPorte, Mike (Debbie) Ault of LaPorte, Tom (Cindy) Ault of LaPorte; niece: Marge (Paul) Schlundt of Valparaiso; numerous great nieces & nephews and 5 great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: John E. Ault and Joseph R. Ault.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Baker officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 3 to 6 PM on Monday at Cutler Funeral Home.
Interment will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Kingsbury Cemetery.
