Mary Ann (Bede) Fanning passed away on March 19, 2011 at 5:30 P.M. at Lake Park Residential Care Center, Lake Station, IN. When the Lord called her to her Eternal home.
She was born January 4, 1955 in Grand Island, NE., the only daughter of Bob and Evelyn Bede. on January 23, 1955 she was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Central City, NE. In 1956 she moved with her parents to Westchester, Ill. She attended school at Immanuel Lutheran School in Hillside, Ill. and graduated from Proviso West High School in 1973. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in LaPorte, IN.
In 1976 she married William "Bill" Fanning.
Mary was employed by Robt., Bosch in Broadview, Ill., and at U-Haul in Forest Park, Ill. She is survived by her parents and brother Ron (Sheryl) Bede, 3 nephews: Derek of Ft. Wayne, IN., Jason of LaPorte and Caleb of Chicago. She is also survived by dear friends: Maurice and Sharon Davila of Canton, GA and the Rafter Family of Elmhurst, Ill.
Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Robert Bede.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating. There will be a time of visitation on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at Cutler Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Carmel Cemetery.
