Mary M. Hay, 91 years old of La Porte, IN, died Sunday, January 25, 2009 in Golden Living Center Fountainview in La Porte
She was born May 26, 1917 in Somerset, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Charles and Lucy (Kimmel) Baker. She was married Oct. 11, 1933 in Maryland to Paul Hay who preceded her in death in April of 1983.
Surviving are her 2 daughters; Barbara (Bob) Shumaker of La Porte & Donna Wagner LaPorte, 3 Sons: Ernie (Kathy) Hay, Paul (Pam) Hay, & Alan (Debi) Hay all of La Porte IN., 1 Sister; Jean (Tom) Smith of Somerset, PA., 1 Brother; John Baker of Somerset, PA., 15 Grandchildren, 29 Gt. Grandchildren, 6 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren, 1 Step Gt. Grandson, 3 Step Gt. Granddaughters.,
She was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Elmer, Clark, Harry & Harvey Edward Baker, 3 Sisters; Mae Shaulis, Margaret Hay & Pearl Baker. 1 Gt. Grandchild; Melinda, Son-in-law; Tom Wagner
She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church of Rolling Prairie, IN., and the Golden Warriors of the church.
A funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Cutler Funeral Home with burial to follow in Patton Cemetery. Visitation with family will be from 2-8 P.M. Tuesday, January 27, 2009.
