Mary "Louise" Metheny, 77, of New Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
Mary was born in Truman, Arkansas on January 8, 1939 to Elmer and Lillie (Osborn) Stevens, Sr.
On April 30, 1960 in La Porte, she married Donald Lloyd Metheny, Sr. who passed away on April 28, 2004. Surviving are her daughter, Stephanie (Scott) Price of Bremen and son, Ronnie H. (Jeri) Metheny of LaPorte; 4 grandchildren, Brittany Price, Mitchell Price, Emily Metheny and Matthew Metheny; siblings, Shirley (Paul) Grant, Brenda (Ron) Sherer, Gene Friend, Jerry (Bev) Stevens and Elmer Stevens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Donald L. Metheny, Jr.; and 5 brothers, Loren, Jess, Bob, Donald Ray and Michael Stevens.
Mary loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Carl Bush officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens following the service.
