Matthew Thomas Thompson, 35 years old of La Porte, IN passed away on Thursday morning at his home of natural causes.
He was born on September 24, 1975 in Fort Bragg, NC. Matthew worked in the plumbing trade. Matthew was a very intelligent man who loved to cook and enjoyed watching sports.
Surviving are his mother, Diane (Steven) Monroe of South Bend, IN; father, Tom (Carol) Thompson of LaPorte; sisters, Lisa Cates of Atlanta, GA, Amy (Mike) Pointon of LaPorte; Erin Thompson of Gastonia, NC; step-brothers and sisters, Paul (Jagretti) Mayer, Brian (Sara) Mayer, Penny (Jim) Koontz, Tamara (Jeff) Wesoloski, Tina Monroe, Travis Monroe; several nieces and nephews; grandparents, Opal Thompson, Phyllis Wallent; aunts & uncles, Susan Thompson, Marc Wallent, Susan and Jesse Easterling; great aunt and uncle, Joan & Howard Flebbe; two cousins, Heather (Jason) Siebert, Jesse R. Easterling; and his dog, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest Thompson, Richard L. Wallent and uncle Richard D. Wallent.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Sally Wicks officiating. A time of visitation will be held at Cutler Funeral home on Monday, February 28, 2011 from 3-8 P.M. and Tuesday from 10-11 A.M.
