Michael A. Kelsch, 83, of Saugany Lake (Rolling Prairie), Indiana, died at 12:29 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, at the Hudson Lake Mennonite Church, with Pastor Esther Lanting officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from noon until the time of services. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Illinois on Tuesday.
Michael was born June 11, 1921, in Chicago to John & Marie (Porfirio) Kelsch. On February 14, 1942, in Chicago, he married Anne Luebbers, who survives.
Survivors also include son Daniel (Florence) Kelsch of Chicago; daughter Carol (Duane) Oesterreich of Downers Grove, IL; grandchildren Kristine (Mark) Blumka and David Oesterreich; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Anne (Don) Rasmussen of Antioch, IL and Marge Wheeler of Spring Valley, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John.
Michael had been in insurance sales. He was a US Army veteran of WW II and was a member of the Hudson Lake Mennonite Church and the Northside Christian Fellowship in Ft. Pierce, FL.
