Michael Light, 37, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2005.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 22 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. David Young officiating.
Michael was born February 14, 1968 in Linden, Indiana to Keith & Betty (Howard) Light. On March 6, 1993, in Biloxi, Mississippi, he married Rio E. Fisher, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters Kali Elizabeth and Abaigale Brianna Light, both at home; his parents of New Market, IN; sister Terri (Darin) McMurry of Fort Peck, MT; and brothers Tim (Katherine) Light of Crawfordsville, IN and Marcus (Danielle) Light of Ladoga, IN.
Michael was an Indiana Department of Transportation Signal Supervisor, LaPorte District.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where he volunteered for the St. John's Day Care. He served for 10 years as a sergeant in the US Air Force, currently service with the Indiana National Guard with the LaPorte Unit. He was a volunteer for the LaPorte Co. Gymnastics Club and coached the cheer-leading /tumbling class. He loved family time, golf and camping. He was a gentle servant, husband, father, son, sibling and friend.
