Miriam "Sue" Gail Laue, 82, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Miller Health and Rehab.
Miriam was born in Beaver Dam, WI, on August 22, 1932 to Lloyd and Doris (Walker) Larson.
On September 3, 1955 in Beaver Dam, WI, she married Vernon Elmer Laue who preceded her in 2014. Surviving are her brother, William "Bill" (Anda) Larson of Roslyn, PA; beloved children, Steve (Pam) Laue of La Porte, Stuart (Sandra) Laue of Henderson, NV, and Karen Drudi of Traverse City, MI; six grandchildren, Eric (Mindon) Laue of Milwaukee, WI, Kristin Laue of McCarthy, Alaska, Amanda Laue (Joseph O'Connor and 1 great granddaughter on the way) of La Porte, Ian Laue of La Porte, Sean (Mei) Laue of Surprise, AZ, and Alexa Drudi of Traverse City, MI; and her dad Jeff, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon Laue; an infant son, James Robert Laue; brothers, Jack, Richard "Dick", and Russell.
Miriam retired from a career in nursing after 27 years. She was a member of Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church. Miriam enjoyed spending time with family, reading, listening to music, and sharing her nursing skills caring for people in the community.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church with Rev. Debbie Beason and Rev. Dorothy Jones officiating.
A time of visitation with the family will take place from 10 AM on Saturday until the time of service at the church.
