Myron "Butch" George Conklin, Jr.

Myron "Butch" George Conklin, Jr., 65, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at his home.

Butch was born on June 29, 1956 in Grand Rapids, MI, to Myron Conklin and Gloria (Smith) Weathers.

On June 28, 1980 in New Buffalo, MI, he married Sheila Bowman who preceded him in death.  Surviving Butch are his children, Tabitha (Peter) Ludwig of La Porte, Christopher (Jamie) Conklin of New Buffalo, MI, Myron "MG" (Lisa Huff) Conklin III of Sawyer, MI, and Michelle (Chris) Brown of La Porte; 5 grandchildren, Paul, CoralRayne, Connor, Tori, and David; sister, Vay (Tony) Crochet of IN; sister-in-law, Lori Conklin of Leo; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Conklin; parents, Myron Conklin and Gloria Weathers; and brother, Ben Conklin.

Butch was an automotive mechanic and New Buffalo City Street Employee for many years.  He was an outdoorsman, who particularly enjoyed hunting.  Butch was an avid gun collector.  Most importantly, Butch enjoyed spending time with his family.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
