Nick Gardner, 51, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 9:40 a.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2006 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Nordquist officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery at a later time.
Nick was born April 5, 1954, in LaPorte to Donald L.& Virginia M. (Rutkowski) Gardner. On February 11, 1977, in LaPorte, he married Pam Richardson, who survives.
Survivors also include daughter Dawn (Rob Myers) Richardson-Terusiak of LaPorte; his mother Virginia of LaPorte; grandchildren Christian, Kyle, Tyler and Austin Terusiak and Jake Myers; brothers Alan Gardner of LaPorte and Clifford Gardner of Southern Indiana; sisters Fran Gardner and Karen Buckmaster of LaPorte and Katherine Gardner of Fish Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
His father, a brother, Jerry Nadolski and a sister, Donna Gardner preceded him in death.
Nick was the owner of and glass blower at N/P Glass Creations where he was known as the "Glass Man".
He was a member of PNA, the Polish Falcons and the Kingsford Heights American Legion.
