Norene Kidder, 88 years old of LaPorte, IN, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at IU Health LaPorte.
She was born on October 31, 1923 in Ashland City, TN, daughter of the late Andrew J. and Amie (Tinsley) Skaggs.
She was married on December 23, 1945 in Elkhart, IN to Arthur Kidder.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur Kidder of LaPorte; daughter, Darla (Dale) Hock of Manchester, MI; son, Eric (Sandra) Kidder of Culleoka, TN; grandchildren, Drew (Tracey) Hock, Dayna Hock, Darren (Stacey) Hock, Darci (Paul) Majewski, Katie Kozal; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Paul Skaggs of Murfreesboro, TN, Stanley (Betty Lou) Smith of Crossville, TN, Tom (Lenora) Smith of Denver, CO; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mansfield Skaggs, Leonard Skaggs, James Skaggs; sisters, Barbara Parrotte, Mary Morgan, Ann Baker, and Jean Pate.
A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 2-6 PM and on Monday, April 16, 2012 from 9-10 AM at Cutler Funeral Home & Cremation Service in LaPorte, IN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Cutler Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Rev. Jack Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Rolling Prairie Cemetery.
