Norma Jean (Hall) White, 86, passed away Thursday, July 2, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born Oct. 19, 1928, to the late Ernest C. and Estelle R. Hall.
Norma married Robert O. White on April 26, 1947. She tolerated Robert's - often adolescent and giggle inducing - self-enhancing humor for 68 years, always with a smile, a laugh and an "Oh, Robert!"
Surviving are her husband, Robert; children Mike (Mary) White of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Barb (Joe Jr.) Kuharic of South Bend; grandchildren Andrea (Noel) Rahme of Durban, South Africa, Stacey (Josh Sr.) Cline of Granger, Joe Kuharic III of South Bend, Kim (Joel) Lear of Michigan City, Kelley Kasprzyk of LaPorte and Mollie White of Beavercreek; great-grandchildren Josh Jr., Alexis, Mariah, Macie and Kaila; nephew Judge Kim (Susan) Hall; niece Jane Larson; sister-in-law Doris Hall; son-in-law Bob Pinda; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Pinda, and her brother, Jim Hall.
Norma found great joy in watching hummingbirds visit her bird feeders each year. Naturally, her hair was always perfect. Her servant's heart inspired her family.
Norma and Robert enjoyed spending winters in Brookside Bluff, Fla.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 6:00 PM Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A time of visitation will be held from 4 PM until the time of the service at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2900 Monroe St., LaPorte. A Cremation Committal will take place at 11 AM on Friday at Kingsbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please call or hug your parents today.
