Norman B. Kuhn, 66, of Lakeland, Florida and formerly of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday October 26, 2004 at his summer home in Sturgis, Michigan.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, at the LaPorte First United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Hadley officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Cutler Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Pine Lake Cemetery.
Norman was born February 12, 1938 in Decatur, Illinois to Walter & Hilda (Gundle) Kuhn. On May 6, 1961, in Francesville, IN, he married Karen Wuethrich, who survives.
He is also survived by son Kevin (Elizabeth) Kuhn of Burmingham, AL; daughters, Kimberly (Duane) Stachowski of Fish Lake, IN and Pamela (Chris) Cockerham of Jacksonville, Fl; 5 grandchildren; brothers Donald Kuhn of Kansas City, MO, Robert Kuhn of Grand Rapids, MI and Gene Kuhn of Tuscaloosa, AL; and sister Wilma Gardner of Sheffield, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Norman was the owner of Michiana Variety and Plates-n-Things. He was a former Jaycee, a life member of the Elks Lodge, a member of the United Methodist Church, and a member of the Big Cypress Golf Country Club in Florida. He was a graduate of Ball State University and had served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 3 years.
