P. Jeannie Troth, 62 years old of La Porte, Indiana, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 in La Porte Hospital.
She was born March 24, 1948 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Eugene and Ida (Zandanel) Nutting.
She was married on Aug. 23, 1969 in La Porte at First United Methodist Church to Terry L. Troth who survives.
Jeannie was a 1966 graduate of La Porte High School and a graduate of Reese Business College. She was a member of the National Humane Society. Jeannie loved animals. She was a painter and artist, she won several awards for her artistic ability. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening and crafts.
Jeannie worked for Scott Foresman Co. in administration for 11 years and became a homemaker after her son was born.
Surviving are her husband, Terry L. Troth of La Porte; her son, Brian C. Troth also of La Porte; her mother, Ida Nutting; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later time.
