Pastor Paul E. Coldiron, age 80, of La Porte, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 9:58 AM at IU Health La Porte Hospital. Paul was born on November 27, 1936 in Johnson County, Kentucky to Troy and Sendy (Manns) Coldiron. On February 3, 1962, he was joined in holy matrimony to Fairia Lafferty and together they shared 54 years of marital bliss.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Fairia Coldiron of La Porte; three children, Paula L. Beehler of Three Rivers, MI, Patty J. ("JC") Sikora of Grand Haven, MI, and Phillip E. (Tonya) Coldiron of Clearwater Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Pauline (Steven) Price of Peru, IN, Scott A. Elkins of La Porte, Jacob (Tegra) Beehler of South Bend, IN, Patrick J. Beehler of La Porte, IN, and Tiffany A. Sikora of Grand Rapids, MI; and six great-daughters, Madison, Malorie, Ameliya, Indica, Haylee, and Payton; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight siblings; and a son-in-law, James Beehler.
Paul was a man who loved The Lord and was very devoted to his family. He served as a minister for 30 years in the Baptist Church and retired from Teledyne Casting Services after nearly 40 years of faithful service.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at New Hope Baptist Chapel, 506 5th Street, La Porte, IN 46350. Pastors Monroe Jones and John White will officiate. Burial will follow at Salem Heights Cemetery in La Porte, IN.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. There will also be an hour of visitation from 11 am until the time of the noon service at the church on Wednesday.
