Pat Loring, 57, of Chesapeake, Virginia died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Chesapeake General Hospital after a brief illness.
Cremation services were provided by the Cremation Society of Virginia. A memorial service will be held in LaPorte at a later date.
Pat was born May 11, 1949, in LaPorte, Indiana to the late Frank and Gloria Loring..
He is survived by his wife, Sherrie Lynn-DeBiase-Loring; his sister Kathy (David) Chapell of LaPorte; and nephews Scott and Brian Chapell of LaPorte.
Pat served in the US Navy for 23 years, primarily on nuclear submarines. After retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer, he was employed by Wal-Mart for eleven years, where he had been the co-manager of the Williamsburg, Virginia store.
He was an avid reader and sports fan, especially NASCAR and the Chicago Cubs. He also loved to travel to Las Vegas, Nevada.
