Patricia Ann Lindsley, 73, of La Porte, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, May 8, 2015 at her home.
Patricia was born on April 22, 1942 in La Porte, IN, to Melvin and Burdetta (Schultz) Metcalf.
On September 1, 1990 in La Porte, she married Lester Dean Lindsley who survives. Also surviving are her beloved dog, Misty; her children, Robby E. Martin of La Porte, Kristine (Mike) Snyder of Hamlet, and Rhonda Kay (Scott) Lain of La Porte; stepchildren, Mandy Heminger of Plymouth, Leslie (Lonnie) Lewis of New Buffalo, Curtis (Debbie) Lindsley of Rolling Prairie, Chad (Stephanie) Lindsley of Michigan City, and Olivia (Barry) Sullivan of Argos; siblings, Carolyn (Paul) Cooper of Walkerton, , Carl (Bootie) Pointon of Mattoon, IL, and Wayne (Pam) McClaran of La Porte; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; adopted children, Michael Tkacz of LaPorte, Dawn (Tim)McCarty of LaPorte and many other family and friends whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Metcalf; mother, Burdetta McClaran; stepfather, Harry McClaran; granddaughter, Johnnie Jones; and nephew, Thomas Lindewald.
Patricia worked for American Home Foods for 21 years and then for TP Orthodontics for 18 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post #83, the Women's Auxiliary, and the American Legion Riders. Pat enjoyed organizing family parties, gambling at casinos, playing bingo and being on the trike with her husband, Lester, for charity events.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A time of visitation will be held from 2 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
