Patrick B. Kuzmin, 57, LaPorte, died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 31, 2003) at his home.
The funeral is at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, with the Rev. Floyd Wilcox Jr. officiating. A Catholic prayer service is at 6 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Jim Morris officiating. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the prayer service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Kuzmin was born June 28, 1946, in Hammond, Ind., to Walter P. and Suzanne A. (Cox) Kuzmin. His mother survives in LaPorte. On March 17, 1978, he married Carole J. Born, who survives.
Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline L. (Steve) Wolfe, Monticello, Minn., and Karen S. Kuzmin, Colorado; three sons, Douglas E. (Carol) Graham, St. Louis, Walter J. (April) Kuzmin, Westville, and Michael P. (Veronica) Kuzmin, Michigan City; six grandchildren, David Kuzmin, Michigan City, Brittany Bogart, Westville, Brandy Bogart, Westville, Sara Graham, St. Louis, Sabrina Kuzmin, Michigan City, and Amanda Kuzmin, Michigan City.
Mr. Kuzmin was the former owner of Walt's Auto & Tire, Calumet City, Ill., and was the Cook 2 supervisor at Indiana State Prison. He attended Galena Baptist Church.
