Paul Albert Kaminskas, 62 years old of La Porte, IN, died 10:04 PM Friday, July 15, 2011 at his home.
He was born May 18, 1949 in Chicago, IL, Son of Albert and Adeline ( Klisiewicz) Kaminskas.
He was married to Elaine Larsen Kaminskas from 1971-1984.
He worked as a Senior Project Manager for Bethleham Steel and R.R. Donnely & Sons. He graduated from Brother Rice High School, Chicago, IL in 1967 and then from the University of Notre Dame in 1971.
Paul was an avid Notre Dame football fan. In this retirement years he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and traveling abroad. He will be most remembered for his quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor.
Surviving are his former Wife, Elaine Kaminskas of South Bend; Sons, Nathan and wife, Kelly (Rajski) Kaminskas of Kouts, IN, Kevin Kaminskas and girlfriend Naoko (who was a devoted caregiver in Paul's final days) Mazany of LaPorte; Three Granddaughters, Morgan, Julia and Alysa Kaminskas; Sister, Judy (Kaminskas) and husband Gene Drag of Oak Lawn, IL; Niece, Valerie (Drag) Brunetti of Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Adeline Kaminskas.
Friends will be received from 4-6 PM Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at Cutler Funeral Home, Friday, July 22, 2011 at 6 PM with Rev. Hugh Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at a later time in the Our Lady of Sorrows Mausoleum at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, Indiana.
Memorials may be given to the Ara Parseghian Foundation and the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
