Pauline A. Croff, 92, LaPorte, died at 5:20 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 18, 2004) at Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, with the Rev. Ron Devenport officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born Aug. 13, 1911, in Cleveland, Tenn., to Luther and Sally (Lingerfelt) Tarpley. She was married to Welcome Buss, who preceded her in death. She then married Bryan Cox, who preceded her in death. She then married Stanley Croff, who died Jan. 28, 1999.
Survivors include one daughter, Naomi Bargholz, Kingman, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Scherrie Whitten, Kingman, Ariz., and Terry Bargholz, Boise, Idaho; one brother, Clyde Tarpley, LaPorte; one stepdaughter, Sally Croff, LaPorte; two stepsons, Stanley L. Croff Jr. and William Bill Croff, both of Somerset, Ky.; five great-grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Also preceding Mrs. Croff in death were one daughter, Lois Smith; one granddaughter, Brenda Minix; and one great-grandson, Marc Hanson.
Mrs. Croff was a seamstress at Fox Woolen Mills and Boris Smoler Co.
She was a member of LaPorte First Church of God, where she and her mother were founders.
