Pauline Johnson, 87 years old of LaPorte, IN, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor in Walkerton, IN.
She was born December 3, 1924 in Valparaiso, IN, daughter of the late Lloyd and Maybelle (Guernsey) Moreland.
She was married on April 6, 1949 in Wanatah to LeRoy C. Johnson who preceded her in death.
Pauline taught JR. High English and retired from the John Glenn School System. She was a member of Walkerton Presbyterian Church, LaPorte Farm Bureau, and the Indiana Dunes Air Stream Club.
Surviving are her sons, Roy (Nancy) Johnson of Bluffton, IN., Jeffrey (Debi) Johnson of Hamlet, IN., Jerry (Denise) Johnson of LaPorte, IN., daughter-in-lawa, Cay Johnson of Fishers, IN., 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Eric Johnson; brother, Howard Moreland; and sister, Esther Weinkauff.
A time of visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Service in LaPorte, IN.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN with Rev. Gretchen Gibbs officiating.
