Pauline Cabage Warfield, 77, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, at the Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Jones officiating. Visitation is on Sunday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A VFW Auxiliary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery.
Pauline was born January 29, 1927 in Chandler, Indiana to Lester & Carrie (Leslie) Cabage. On November 2, 1970, in Evansville, IN, she married J.B. Warfield, who survives.
Also surviving are brothers, Lester Eugene Cabage of Venus, FL and Albert Leslie Cabage of Indianapolis and brothers-in-law Edward Warfield of Cottonwood, AL and Ted Warfield of LaPorte.
Pauline had attended and graduated from Chandler schools. For a short time she started nurses training in a hospital in Evansville, IN. Later she was employed by attorneys and at the court house in Boonville, IN. After her first marriage, she became active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. After moving to Evansville, IN, she was employed by Whirlpool Corp. She continued her participation in the V.F.W. and met her husband J.B. Because of her love of the V.F.W., she served in various offices in the District, State and National levels. Due to her great admiration of the V.F.W. organization, in 1970, she was elected to the position of State President of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Pauline and J.B. loved to travel and spent the winter months in Florida. She will be missed by her family and many close friends.
