Phillip George Siegert, age 64, of Fish Lake, IN passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
He was born in Chicago, IL on May 20, 1949 to Joseph G. and Violet (Halper) Siegert.
On September 8, 1990, he married Mamie Miller who survives. Also surviving are his beloved children, Kevin (Stephanie) Siegert of Mishawaka, IN and Nicki McCollough of Buchannan, MI; stepsons, James (Ruth) Sickman of Fish Lake, Dale (Leasa) Sickman of Columbus, OH, and Tom (Heather) Sickman of Franklin, GA; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bernard "Bernie" Siegert.
Phillip served his country honorably in the United States Army as a military policeman from 1969-71. He was an avid sports fan and always cheered on the Cubs and Black Hawks. He also really enjoyed playing his X-box.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Sunday, February 16 2014 at 4 PM. Rev. Kit B. Billings will officiate. A private cremation committal will take place.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
