Ray Edward Scarborough, 64, of Westville, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Franciscan Health South, Indianapolis.
Ray was born on August 13, 1957 in La Porte, IN, to John and Mary Margorie (Amor) Scarborough.
On October 12, 1996, he married Anita Looney, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Shanon (Lisa) Scarborough of Koontz Lake, Cori (Ronnie) Walker of La Porte, Meggan Scarborough of Westville, Elizabeth (Tim) Stoler of New Carlisle, Katelynn George of La Porte, and Sarah George of La Porte; 14 grandchildren, Kendra, Ethan, Rylee, Caleb, Chelsy, Chloe, Cameron, Addison, Maddux, Grayson, Eleanor, Emelia, Phoenix, and Maxson; 1 great-grandchild, Oaklyn; siblings, Gerald Scarborough of Union Mills, Renee (Jack) Sarver of Wanatah, and Rachel (John) Gonzales of Union Mills; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his grandparents, John and Harriet Scarborough and Ray and Louise Amor and brother, Bart John Scarborough.
Ray was a Waste Water Operator for many years at the City of La Porte. He retired in 2017. Ray enjoyed working with draft horses and farming.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Kay Bond officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice, in honor of Ray.
