Raymond L.Baud, age 89, of La Porte, passed away on July 2, 2013 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
He was born in Robinson, IL on February 20, 1924 to Louis and Goldie (Crum) Baud.
On June 1, 1973 he married Hattie "Pauline" Harp who preceded him in death on March 28, 2013.
Surviving are his beloved children; 2 daughters, Rayetta Ann (Tim) Sandy of La Porte, Dawn M. Clingenpeel of La Porte; 2 sons, Eddie R. Baud of La Porte, Thomas W. Baud of Danbury, CT; 2 step-daughters, Loretta (Byron) Sunderland of La Porte, Kathy Daniel of La Porte; 2 step-sons, Daniel (Sharon) Baxley of Winamac, IN, Charles F. (Roberta) Baxley of La Porte; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Pauline Baud.
Raymond retired after 30 years from Modine Manufacturing in La Porte. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the La Porte American Legion. He enjoyed camping.
A time of visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Monday, July 8, 2013 and from 9 AM until the time of service on Tuesday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will take place following the service at Patton Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
