Raymond Edmond Davis, 68, of La Porte, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at his home.
Raymond was born in La Porte, IN, on September 12, 1948 to Donald and Harriet (Darschewski) Davis.
On October 21, 1978 in La Porte, he married Anita S. Williams who survives. Also surviving are his beloved children, Raymond (Alice) Davis of Portage and Kelli (James) Davis Metcalf of Kingsford Heights; grandson, James Metcalf, Jr. of Kingsford Heights; brothers, Joe (Judy) Habaj of La Porte and Don (Eleanor) Davis of Winimac, IN; sisters, Dorothy (Sonnie) Lawson of Rolling Prairie and Angie Myhand of Michigan City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Robert Davis.
Raymond enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, camping, hunting in his younger days and spending time with his family. Raymond was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM (CST) on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Tim Williams officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Pine Lake Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
A time of visitation will be held from 4-7 PM, Thursday, May 18, 2017 and from 10 AM until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
