Rev. Arthur L. Browning, 93 years old of LaPorte, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in Golden Living Center Fountainview, LaPorte, IN.
He was born on July 11, 1918 in Johnson County, Indiana, son of the late Ralph L. and Dovie (Scott) Browning.
He was a retired pastor at Springville Free Methodist Church, and a Navy Veteran of WWII.
Surviving are his sons; James of Bourbonnais,IL., Robert of LaPorte, 11 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, two sisters; Dorothy Willoughby of Anderson, IN, and Geraldine Smith of Bloomington, IN.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona May Browning; his parents; sons, Gale and Larry Browning; brothers Ralph, Lowell, Elmer, William, and Carl Browning; sisters, Mary Glenn, Ester, Lois, and Media.
A time of visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday, April 13, 2012 and on Saturday from 9:00 - 10:30 A.M. at Springville Free Methodist Church.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Springville Free Methodist Church with Pastor Luke Bedtelyon officiating.
Interment will follow in the Springville Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
