Rev. Jerry E. Stegall, 69 years old of LaPorte, IN., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in LaPorte Hospital.
He was born February 26, 1941 in Harriman, Tennessee the son of the late Clarence and Vida (Keeton) Stegall.
He retired in 1995 from UPS. He had a special love and ministry for the elderly and ministered many years to the nursing homes. He was an Evangelist at many different churches and lead many to the Lord. He will be sadly missed by many friends and family.
He was married May 28, 1960 in La Porte to Deanna Harshman who survives. Also surviving a son; Jeffery Stegall of Valparaiso, sister; Vivian (Billy) Lehman of Westville, special brother-in-law and caregiver Jack and Pam Harshman of Rolling Prairie.
He graduated from Kingsbury High School in 1959, South Western Bible College in Waxahachie, TX. and was a member of Assemblies of God Church.
A visitation will be held from 10A.M. -12 P.M., Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Cutler Funeral Home with a Memorial Service to follow at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Jeff Hines officiating.
Burial will take place at a later time at the Rolling Prairie Cemetery.
