Richard "Dick" Lee Anderson, age 82, of La Porte, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
He was born in Logansport, IN, on November 2, 1931 to Laurel Keith and Alma Velma (Hinton) Anderson.
Surviving are his niece, Jody Jimerson of Walkerton; great niece, Kayla (Michael Hostetler) Jimerson of North Liberty; great nephew, Ronald (Lynnie Sullivan) Jimerson, Jr. of Dalton, GA; great-great niece, Molly Lynn-Marie Hostetler; great-great nephew, Jayden Michael Hostetler; as well as special friends, Dennis and Nancy Dadlow of Salem Heights and Jim Knoll of La Porte.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dolores Dadlow.
Dick worked for Plastic Masters for twenty-two years and later became a Tool and Die Maker for eighteen years. He was a member of PRCU and PNA. He enjoyed basketball, baseball, and playing pool.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
A private family memorial service has been held.
