Richard H. Ivey, 88, New Carlisle, formerly of LaPorte, died at 3:45 a.m. Friday (Oct. 10, 2003) at Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle.
Private family services will be at Cutler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jack Ivey officiating. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Mr. Ivey was born March 6, 1915, in LaPorte, to George and Edna (Burton) Ivey. On June 12, 1938, in LaPorte, he married Annetta L. Struss, who died Sept. 9, 1995.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Ivey, San Diego, Calif., and Susan (Bill) Lightcap, South Bend; and two grandchildren, Bradley Lightcap, Indianapolis, and Angela Lightcap, San Diego.
Also preceding Mr. Ivey in death was one brother Harland Ivey.
Mr. Ivey was a plant manager for U.S. Slicing Machine Co. of LaPorte and ended his career at Sullair Corp. of Michigan City. He belonged to the LaPorte Elks and Masonic Lodge.
