Richard Louis Moreau

Richard Louis Moreau, Sr., 71, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at La Porte Hospital.

Richard was born in Gary, IN, on August 12, 1947 to Kenneth Leroy and Kathleen Sue (James) Moreau.

On September 28, 1968, he married Beverly Jean (Truett) Moreau who survives.  Also surviving are his beloved children, Richard Louis (Lisa) Moreau, Jr. of Valparaiso, Kenneth Everett (Angela) Moreau of Hobart, Michael E. (Shawna) Moreau of La Porte, and Chrystina Joyce (Joeseph M. Corrado) Moreau of Valparaiso; 12 grandchildren, Amber, Lauren, and Ashley Moreau, Haley and Cory (Miku) Moreau, Cameron K. Jamrozy, Michael, Cheyanne Sue, Nathaniel E. and Nicholas A. Moreau, Eddie A. Moreau, and Eric R. Stearns; 5 great-grandchildren, Austin, Caiden, Noah, Paige, and Payton; sister, Maureen Votta of Florence, CA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cheryl Edwards.

Richard retired from US Can where he was a coil sheer operator.  He was a member of the Hog's Association.  Richard enjoyed family and friends as well as long rides on his motorcycle.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
