Richard "Rich" Francis O'Rourke

Richard "Rich" Francis O'Rourke, 67, of La Porte, IN, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 11, 1957, in Manteno, IL, Rich was the son of Joseph and Anna O'Rourke.

A devoted father and grandfather, Rich is survived by his four children, Sarah (Joseph) Stewart, Barbara (Marcus) Ritter, Kristopher O'Rourke, and Meagan O'Rourke, all of La Porte; four cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Tyler, Kayleigh, and Kyleigh; and his former wife, Bonnie Lanham. He is also survived by his beloved siblings, Susie Pierson, Donna O'Rourke, Patty O'Rourke, Joe O'Rourke, and Mary O'Rourke, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jo Anne O'Rourke; and cousin, Denise O'Rourke.

A hardworking man, Rich spent many years as a truck driver, navigating the roads with dedication and skill. Outside of work, he found joy in bowling, swimming, and spending time with his family, always ready to lend a hand with home projects. Known for his loving personality and generous spirit, he left a lasting impact on those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at First Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Kenny Wright officiating.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the start of the service at the church. Cremation will take place following the service.
