Richard Paul Panos, age 75, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
Richard was born in Chicago, IL on December 3, 1938 to John and Frances (DeKirsig) Panos.
Richard proudly served in the US Army, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Indiana University, and went on to obtain his Master’s Degree in Education. His long tenure teaching in community schools brought him great satisfaction while enriching the lives of many La Porte children. Richard spent his retirement years sharing his love of nature through drawings, paintings and poetry. He is survived by beloved siblings, Joan Depke, Frances Dynak and John Panos. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Mass will be held at 4:30 PM, Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Father Eduardo Malagon officiating. a time of visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Mass on Wednesday at the funeral home.
