Richard Eugene Renfro Sr., 55 years old of LaPorte, IN, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his home in LaPorte surrounded by his family.
He was born September 18, 1955 in LaPorte, IN, Son of Jack and Dorothy (Wood) Renfro.
He was a 20 year U.S Navy Veteran.
Richard was married on October 24, 1993 in Jacumba, CA to Rhonda Hulett.
Surviving are his wife: Rhonda Renfro of LaPorte; his parents: Jack and Dorothy Renfro of LaPorte, IN; daughters: Wila (Jose) Muro of Queen Creek, AZ, Shantel Renfro of National City, CA, Sabrina Roberts of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Erica Renfro (Joe Lukac) of LaPorte; sons: Jack (Megan) Eslick of Rolling Prairie, IN, Ken Eslick (Jamie Schlundt) of LaPorte, IN, Ricky Renfro Jr. (Tahnee Pattengale) of LaPorte, IN, Christopher Renfro of National City, CA; grandchildren: Michael, Marcus, McKele & Matthew Straham, Derick, Kameli & Keegan Eslick, Kenny Jr., Keith, Jessica & Savannah Eslick, Bryce Perry & Kyan Renfro, Riley, Charles & Stephen Roberts; sisters: Jackie (Dan) Michaels of LaPorte, IN and Becky Renfro of LaPorte, IN and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hiram & Pansy Renfro and Lorenzo & Jenny Wood.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Loucks officiating.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 2-5 P.M. at Cutler Funeral Home. Interment will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois, with Full Military Honors.
