Robert L. Francis, Sr., 64, of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, died at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, at the Cutler Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday from noon until the time of services. Burial will be in the Wills Township Baptist Cemetery in Rolling Prairie, IN.
Robert was born on October 3, 1940, in LaPorte, Indiana to George Robert and Dorothy (Chadderton) Francis. He married Pauline Monroe, who survives.
Also surviving are sons, Robert, Charles, Lyle and George Francis, all of LaPorte and Nicholas Francis of Niles, MI; 6 grandchildren; his mother, Dorothy of LaPorte; brothers, Dennis of Kingsford Heights, David of Florida and DeWayne Francis of LaPorte; and sisters Marlene Neubeck and Cindy Cavinder, both of LaPorte, Susan Hines of Crown Point, IN, Lorena of Bradenton, FL and Sharon of Tampa, FL.
He was preceded in death by his father, his step-father and his step-mother.
Robert had worked as a semi truck driver and a mechanic. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
