Robert "Bob" Dale Harris, 62, of Fish Lake, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at his home.
Robert was born in Sacramento, CA, on June 21, 1953 to Norman and Barbara (Metzger) Harris.
On May 3, 1980 in La Porte, he married Debbie Clanton who survives. Also surviving are his beloved children, Chase (Dawn) Robowski of La Porte and Felissa (David Ashcraft) Craft of Mill Creek; 6 grandchildren, Nick Foster, Payten Craft, BrookeLynn and Rylie Robowski, and Austin and Luke Ashcraft; sister, Lori Croy of Granger; and his dogs, Rusty and Coco.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mariann Harris.
Bob was an Air Force Veteran of Vietnam. He also served as a volunteer fireman for Kingsford Union. Bob had a passion for firearms, NRA, fishing, boating, and vacationing in Florida. He was a lover of animals and many would say he was a dog whisperer. Bob had retired from Roll Coater (Precoat) in Kingsbury, IN.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at First Church of God with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 1 PM Sunday until the time of service at the church. A fellowship meal will be held following the service.
