Robert R. Hunt, 61, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away suddenly at 12:07 P.M. Thursday, February 28, 2008 in LaPorte, IN.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Cutler Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation from 3-6 P.M., Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the funeral Home.
Robert was born on January 23, 1947 in Michigan City, IN to the late Thomas & Lucille (Jellison) Hunt.
Robert was married on November 8, 1997 in Las Vegas, NV to Nancy Taylor who survives.
Other survivors include 1 Brother: Thomas J. (Pat) Hunt of Michigan City, IN; 2 Sisters: Gail (Dale) Warren of Michigan City, IN., Joy Hunt of Mesquite, TX; 2 Step Children: Peggy (Jeff) Irvin of LaPorte, IN., Geoffrey (Jackie) Griffith of LaPorte, IN; 4 Grandchildren: Jacob Irvin, Erica Irvin, Maggie Jeanne Griffith and Mitchell Griffith; 1 Great Granddaughter: Addison Zellers; and Mother-in-law: Peggy Taylor.
Robert was preceded in death by his Parents and 1 Step Son: Frank A. Patejdl, IV.
Robert worked as an electrician. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving from 1967 thru 1968. He enjoyed fishing and watching football and basketball. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 531 for 45 years. Robert was a good man with a huge heart. Bob touched every one that met him. He was a loving husband and a caring, giving man. He loved to joke and laugh and anyone that knew him will never forget him. He lived life to the fullest and will be truly missed by his wife and family. He made this world a better place and his family and friends lives will be a little better for having known him. We love you Bob!
