Robert W. "Bob" Jackson, 77, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hadley officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from noon until the time of services. Cremation has taken place.
Bob was born December 16, 1927, in Michigan City, Indiana. His foster parents were the late Harry & Amber (Volhiem) Magglos. On April 3, 1954, in LaPorte, he married Reeda Myers who survives.
Also surviving are sons Richard (Lynn) Jackson and Curtis Jackson, both of LaPorte; grandsons Eric (Mary) Jackson and Adam (Nicki) Jackson, also both of LaPorte; great-grandchildren Amber, Mikaelah and Ashton Jackson of LaPorte and Damen Jackson of Rolling Prairie, IN; and sister Dorothy Pinio of Chicago, IL.
A
son, Mark Jackson, a sister, Hazel King and brothers George and Dale Magglos, preceded him in death.
Bob had retired as a machinist at Joy Manufacturing. He was a navy veteran of both WW II and the Korean War. He enjoyed building model boats and airplanes. Most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
