Bob Kinney Jr., 41, of LaPorte, died at 8:54 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, at Countryside Christian Church with Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
Bob was born October 30, 1964, in Michigan City to Robert D. & Jean A. (Seppyes) Kinney, Sr. On November 22, 1986, in Michigan City, he married Shannon Jergens, who survives.
Also surviving are children Andrew Robert and Bronwyn Shannon Kinney, both at home; his parents of Michigan City; sisters Tammy (Brian) Shoemaker of West Melbourne, FL and Denis of Portage, IN; numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles; in-laws Jack & Rosie Jergens of Michigan City; close cousins, Steve and Tom Kinney; and special caregiver and cousin, Shelley Campbell.
Bob worked at Easy Heat in New Carlisle as a maintenance engineer.
He was a 1983 graduate of Rogers High School, Michigan City. He attended Countryside Christian Church. He was lead singer in the contemporary Christian Band "The Bridge" and was a big Packer fan. He had a passion and love for his children, music and the Lord, Jesus Christ. He touched numerous lives and was a blessing to all who knew him.
