Robert R .(Kloss) Klosowski, 79 years old of La Porte passed away Monday evening in his home surrounded by his loving family
He was born Friday, March 21, 1930 in LaPorte, Indiana , son of the late Bernard Klosowski and Anna Picora Klosowski.
Robert had worked as manager of Wonderland Department Store for 9 years and had retired from the Index Supply Company in 1990, then he worked for the Town Crier. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus St. Michael Council LaPorte, #1542, charter member and past vice-president of Big Brothers of LaPorte. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953. He was involved in the LaPorte Little Theater Club, and was a volunteer at LaPorte County Public Library.
He married October 21, 1950 in Chicago to Ann Gagliano who preceded him in death May 12, 1982, he then married Barbara Mansfield Euler on July 16, 1988 who survives, also surviving a Son; Steven Klosowski, daughter; Simpson O'Brien of La Porte step-daughter; Carol McMahon of Kingsbury, step-sons; David Euler of LaPorte, Edward Euler of Michigan City, IN.,2 Grandsons, 7 step-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Ann Gagliano.
Friends will be received Thursday, June 11, 2009 from 3-8 P.M., Rosary Service will be held at 7 PM. at the Cutler Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 12, 2009 at 12:30 P.M. with a time of visitation from 11:30 until the time of service at Cutler Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, with full Military Rites by La Porte Honor Guard.
