Robert R. Letinich (Bob Letnich), 78 years old of Valparaiso, IN, died at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso on January 10, 2012 .
He was born on February 24, 1933 in Hegewisch, Illinois, son of Sam Letinich and Anna (Jager) Letinich.
On May 11, 1963 Bob married Lita R. Philpott in Miller (Gary), Indiana, who survives.
He started in 1964 at Bethlehem Steel, retiring as the supervisor of the 110 Inch Plate Mill after 30 years. Bob received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. He loved his family, the game of golf and Chicago sports.
Surviving are his wife, Lita; four sons: Robert Letinich of Olympia, WA, David (Bonnie) Letinich of Bothel, WA, Stephen (Colleen) Letnich of Valparaiso, IN, and Anthony (Heather) Letnich of Valparaiso, IN ; one sister: Mary Ann (Adolph) Husiar of Valparaiso; grandchildren: Deken, Sarah, Hannah, Victoria, Nathan, Lilly, Holly, and Vincent; 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Dorothy Carr, 4 brothers: Samuel Letinich, Ernest Letinich, John Letinich, and Ewald Anton Letinich .
A Private Family Service was held. Cutler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, LaPorte, IN has been entrusted with the arrangements.
