Robert "Jack" Peterson, 82, of South Bend, Indiana, died at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Fountainview Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mishawaka, Indiana.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Morrison officiating. Visitation is on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
Jack was born August 6, 1922, in LaPorte to Harry & Bessie (Francis) Peterson.
Survivors include son Robert L. (Janet) Peterson, Jr. of Granger, IN; daughters Linda Swisher of LaPorte, Kathy (Ted) Elmer of Bellevue, WA, Gail (David) McKay of South Bend, IN, and Donna (Harold) Augustine of Daytona Beach, FL; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister Phyllis (Russ) Marquardt of LaPorte; and brothers Pete (Jenny) Peterson of Walkerton, IN, Laurence (Velma) Peterson and Garland "Butch" (Rosemary) Peterson, both of LaPorte.
His parents and a brother, Gordon Peterson, preceded him in death.
Jack was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the LaPorte Seventh Day Adventist Church and he was a WW II Army veteran.
